I am Deacon Daniel Ciucci, currently in my last year of formation at St. John Vianney Seminary to be a priest for this Archdiocese of Denver. For the majority of my childhood I grew up in Boulder, CO, but also have lived in Knoxville, TN; Cumbria, England; Las Vegas, NV and I have studied in Santiago de Compostela, Spain and Puebla Mexico. I do love travel and languages. In high school I studied Spanish and French and have kept my Spanish up over the years. When I was a child I always wanted to be a chef. In the 8th grade I went through confirmation at my home parish of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Boulder, CO and I first learned of the Eucharist in a real and personal way. My life was changed ever since.

In high school I served as a Page for the House of Representatives in Washington DC, and discerned a calling into seminary during my time at St. Thomas Aquinas serving the University of Colorado at Boulder. Having completed 6 years of seminary formation I am looking forward to ordination and serving the Archdiocese as a Priest of Jesus Christ.

One thing I have always loved about the Catholic Church is no matter where you go on this globe you can always find a home; you can always find a place of prayer and a refuge. So for me, the call to be a parish priest is a great privilege. It is a calling to be one of the many caretakers and fathers of a parish which is meant to serve a particular community but also be home for any traveler.
