WORSHIP COMMISSION

Mission

Lectors are a dedicated group of Catholics who share a deep love of the holy scriptures and joyfully share their gift of proclamation with the congregations.  They prepare themselves prayerfully and practically before assisting in any worship service so that the words they speak touch the hearers as God would want.  This   ministry allow one to grow in the faith in a wonderfully rich way.

The purpose of the Ministry of Lectors is to assist in worship by proclaiming the Holy Scriptures, leading the general intercessions, and making announcements during the celebration of the Mass.

Requirements:

All lectors must be a practicing Catholic having completed spiritual and practical training and possess a love of the holy scriptures.

Scheduling:

Lectors are contacted by their team captains as to scheduling for readings  during the daily and the weekend Masses, Holy Days of Obligation, and the seasons of Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter. 

There are not general meetings.
