RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Available Programs:

Preschool Sunday School for 3,4, and 5 year olds:
The program is held during the 9:30 a.m. Mass.  It  introduces children to God’s love and encourages them to share that love with others through caring, sharing and helping.

  • Nazareth Program:

This program is held during the 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Masses.  It is for students in the 1st through 5th grades.  The students begin Mass with their families and are called up to the altar for a blessing and then leave to have their own liturgy of the Word in the Great Room.  They hear the Gospel and interact with the message of the Scriptures.  They return to Mass and their families at the time of the Offertory Procession.

  • Religious Education Classes:

This program is held on Monday evenings (5 p.m.-6 p.m.) for 1st through 5th grade.

  • Special Needs:

This program is for students with special needs and is available on Sundays during the 11:30 Mass.  It is designed for persons age 5 through adult who have difficulty acquiring instruction in a typical classroom setting.  The program teaches the presence of Jesus in our lives and encourages our involvement in the Church    community.  Preparation classes for Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation are also offered.  This year we are also offering a new program for younger children that have special needs.  Please contact Janice Straley for information on this program.
