Stay at Home Order

Dear Queen of Peace Parishioners,

Governor Polis has put in place a Stay at Home Order, saying “All individuals currently living within the State of Colorado are ordered to Stay at Home whenever possible.” The order also says, “Critical Businesses…are exempt… and are encouraged to remain open.”

Queen of Peace Catholic Parish is considered a Critical Business* and will remain open at this time. The church is open 6:30am to 10pm every day. The office is open 9am to 7pm Monday through Friday and 9am to 12:30pm on Saturdays.

If you would like to come to the parish to pray, for confession, or to speak with a priest, you may print and carry the letter below with you. If you are stopped on the way here, you can show it to the officer, as proof that Queen of Peace is considered a Critical Business, and you are not disobeying the Stay At Home Order.

Please be aware that we are strictly following the order in not having gatherings of more than 10 people and maintaining social distancing of at least 6 feet.

“In-person pastoral services for individuals who are in crisis or in need of end of life services provided social distancing is observed to the greatest extent possible. Houses of worship may remain open” (III. C. 5.)

PUBLIC MASSES CANCELED

We are complying with the Archdiocese of Denver, whom together with the other two dioceses of Colorado, have announced that all public Masses have been canceled until at least April 17th. Our parish will stay open 6:30am to 10pm. Our priests will continue to hear your confessions, visit and anoint the sick, and make themselves available to meet with you when you need to talk to them about a problem.

Daily Mass will be streamed Monday through Friday, at 12pm in English and at 5:30pm in Spanish.
The weekend Mass will be live streamed Saturdays in English at 4pm, and in Spanish at 6pm.

Sunday Mass is also available on PBS Channel 12, at 6:30 AM in English and at 7:00 AM in Spanish.

We want to accompany God’s people in this time of need. We invite everyone to spend more time in prayer for those sick, with COVID-19, for those serving in the medical field, and for our government leaders. May God’s grace strengthen and guide them.

Please see below how you can participate in the Mass from home.
